Viking (Meadowlawn) Lake

This project was created to clean up the lakes and waterways throughout Meadowlawn. The goal is to improve the water quality, preserve the shorelines, beautification and attract wildlife such as the many beautiful birds we find in St. Petersburg.

Our lakes clean up project is well under way. Our partnerships are with Keep Pinellas Beautiful, SoUL (Stewards of our Urban Lakes) and the City of St. Petersburg Stormwater department.

Neighbors living on the lakes, we encourage you to help us keep the shorelines behind your property free of debris and trash picked up. We all THANK YOU!!

ALL of our lakes require continued maintenance on EVERYONE's part.

Viking Lake (Meadowlawn Park) - Our first lake in this project. Plants have been planted near the drainage pipe in the north west corner of the lake. The plants chosen help preserve the shoreline, improve water quality, beautify the lake, and will attract wildlife. This lake has a lot of salinity, and we have seen many fish, various birds, turtles, and crabs.

What have your seen?

Mastry Lake - Clean up starting April 6, 2024.
